Emporio Armani Spring/Summer 2012

Today is the 4th day of Milan Fashion Week. This morning Emporio Armani showed off
Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Giorgio Armani played a little game with us, whilst the show was taking place. The game was called spot the colour.

The collection featured monochrome, with an occasional interjection of marbled pastel print or a scattering of molecular pink or green or lastly a layer of sparkling sequins. Their was
a touch of fun as iridescent jellyfish dresses with multiple stiff hooped hemlines shimmered by. The garments were mainly black and White, black trouser suits edged in white – or vice versa – and softly tailored silk dresses that fall to just above the knee. The shoes were a delight: Perspex sculpted wedges of neon or purple came under soft tan shoe-boots. The bags were big and black with white details, transparent plastic versions, or small long –strapped camera pouche.

The collection was very elegant.
