As London fashion week comes to the end today, to make way for an Italian twist. Yes you have guessed the fashion pack has travelled to the third fashion capital for Milan fashion week, for another scene of autumn and winter ready to wear 2012 collections.

Starting with Gucci.
The Gucci girl took to the runway with a hint of romanticness of darkness, without being sinister. “I was thinking about a certain type of romanticism” This statement made by Frida Giannini  showed within the collection starting with the houses signature pieces.

Garments appeared with moneyed attitude with military lines and dandy grace, along with cropped jackets with a little detailing of gold buttons.
Velvet of luxury was used with jackets and also it came to play apart of the embellishment and surface decoration, adding detail with appliqué of flowers appearing on the chiffon and lace blouses and long skirts.
Seventies style came to play with low waisted chiffon dressers, worn with low heeled sandals. Floral patterns of tulips and a yellow colour palette of flowers added contemporary feminity to the collection.

It was a luxe start to the week.
