by - Tuesday, March 06, 2012

Today is the last day of the fashion carousel of the autumn and winter 2012 season. However its schedule has created a very elegant finale. This morning was the centre stage of international fashion hierarchy, which came from amethyst and crystal setting from the inside of the Grand Palais.
Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel girls took to the runway with a sense of fiercely and elaborated originality.

Models eyebrows were bejewelled, shaping came from the focus and precise this idea of a crystalline world came elegantly alive. Layering came with the trousers, under skirts, under layering of blouses with oversized coats. A luxe tweed parka came with an embellished sequinned hood. Embellishment was not missed out in any garment especially the luxe shot tweeds in green, purple all in this world of jewelled embellishment with sapphires to feathers.

  It was beautiful!

Karl signature rebellion gave dark arts to a moment, within his couture repertoire. Dramatic cutaway ankle boots had Perspex heel. (This material was on the invitation which gave a hint.) Glitter brought a new penchant to a pair of such of the perfect investment of trousers for next fall.
Knitwear came beautifully in a rainbow palette of green, purple, pink and mustard. Dressers were in a stained glass prints which gave out a modern hippy look. Chiffon ruffles came onto the sleeves from stiff shoulder panels.

Chanel’s front row was also the headline of today’s show. Katy Perry took to the limelight with a see through dress. French actress Elisa Sednaui also joined Katy Perry on the front row.

The show was an inside guide to Chanel’s crystallized world for next season
