by - Thursday, September 13, 2012

London fashion week is starting tomorrow for the second week of the fashion month. I’ve always loved being at home for fashion week, since it really brings out the talent we truly have within the UK. From the exhibition, presentations, fashion films, to the catwalk show and after parties you catcher that fashion moment…

This season for spring and summer 2013 London schedule for the catwalk features the traditional London designers such as Julian MacDonald, Burberry, Mulberry, Daks, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, to Paul Smith – I could go on and on...

However, we do have some returns to the schedule which is Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. Preen will be returning to the London fashion week schedule this season on 15th September at 4pm whilst, the other returnee to London’s schedule is Rag & Bone. Rag & Bone are celebrating the opening of their first European flagship store in London. Rag & Bone’s spring and summer 2013 collection will show on the 15th September in a spacious new Sloane Street location.

We have something to celebrate this weekend during London fashion week, which is the celebration of Matthew Williamson’s 15th anniversary. Williamson’s spring and summer 2013 collection, is scheduled to show on Sunday is inspired by India.
There is a good bye scenario during Sunday too, this is regarding Nicole Farhi. This will be an emotional day for Farhi since it will be her last collection show at LFW. Before design director Joanna Sykes takes over the label.

London fashion week is making a wish come true this season with a selection of collaborations from Minnie Mouse, Louise Gray & Barbie, Vodafone & Mary Katrantzou, finally Rock Vault.

Amongst the catwalk shows and presentations within Somerset House during London fashion week, their will be the exhibition housing 110 designers showcasing 30 new designers for SS13 and will be open to all UK and international media and buyers. Also ahead of fashion week the website for LFW has had new makeover. The makeover of the site allows you to take part in #LFW live, which a real time is feed aggregating images that use the hashtag #LFW from instagram and Twitter. You can create your own personal calendar for the week, finally plan with maps of show, event and showroom locations, as well as hotels, bars, and restaurants.
