Victoria Beckham Spring and Summer 2013

Yesterday was an emotional start to the day wasn’t it Victoria Beckham? Mrs. Beckham broke down in emotional tears as she took to the runway, to bow within the ending of her spring and summer 2013 collection. Let’s back track…
Sunday morning started with a candle lit stairway into the New York Public library for one of a show you cannot afford to miss. Amongst the setting of flickering candles, fashion editors, press, and buyers were gathered inside the hall and the stairs to catch a glimpse of the Mr. Beckham and Harper approaching the front row.
Whilst backstage there were models getting ready with a fresh as a daisy approach to the beauty side of the show, along with a yummy element of a brunch spread it was time to take seating within the hall of the Library.

After 8 seasons of showing her label Mrs. Beckham collection took to the runway with the first showing of pieces in black. A black matti cami maxi dress was ahead of a new element of Mrs. Beckham line, which was a black cuff blouse (which brought softness to the collection) along with a pair of trousers. The collection offered slinky, body-hugging dresses with more relaxed contours by using lighter fabrics. Linergie was apart of some looks which came down the hall whicih actored as an underlayer to blazers, which were teamed with slimmed trousers. Pops of colours added to pieces within the collection regarding the colour terms of orange, poppy, white, and black. Whilst long skirts were amongst the sheer pleats, which gave a younger side to the collection.
Accessories brought a freshness into the collection due to them being flats, with the touch a boyish agenda with brougues which were created by Mrs. Beckham and Manolo Blahnik. Strappy gladiators also took to the runway whilst handbags were hard-cased rectangle clutches. To finish the outifts Mrs. Beckham used floppy puritian hats which were designed by Stephen Jones.

Mrs. Beckham show notes truelly set onto what the collection was refering too over the past eight season. “This has allowed me to continue to investigate embracing the female form and further explore the notion of how a woman can emotionally connect with her clothes and how they make her feel.'”

Personally I think this was the best show I have seen from Mrs. Beckham over past eight season because, it has nicely brought all her baby steps all together to create one big step of a collection which features all her signature elements.
