by - Sunday, January 05, 2014

Well Happy New Year!  I do hope you've enjoyed the festive season and well January is officially here… Back into the swing of things Gentlemen especially with the menswear 2014 season and for the Ladies its Haute Couture collections.

Throughout the 6th January until 8th January 2014 it’s all ‘Man About Town’ gentlemen with London Collections: Men 2014 season hosted through various locations this season from the Topman Show Space, BFC Venue: The Hospital Club, The Old Sorting Office, and Victoria House. Yet as ever gents there is a packed event schedule to ensure every talent and inch of menswear is highlighted across London (See Event Schedule Here).

The first day sees Lou Dalton opening up the season followed by the Topman gentlemen at noon. Presentations held by Johnathan Saunders to Fashion East running throughout the day.
Tuesday sees J.W Anderson, Alexander McQueen, RAKE menswear (See Post Here) take to the runway. Between the regular features and the must have ticketed shows this season you should look out for these new designers to the schedule as well…

Sibling features on the last day of London Collections: Men AW14 season the label is all about that unqiue modernism take on staple pieces of your closet gents whilst, you have Craig Green which forms and runs that masculine feel and atmosphere in all pieces with that mix of DIY aesthetics. Yet at Richard Nicoll expect to see his luxe take on sportswear whereas, at Marques Almedio it’s all every loose and relaxed.
On the last day of London Collections: Men AW14 season sees Paul Smith, Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey’s Burberry Prorsum presentations and some of the emerging talent I’ve highlighted above classically finishing off the schedule ahead of Milan menswear.

On the contrary wither it may be on the runway, within a presentation, appointment only or even on the social scene side of London Collections Men within the events being held. It’s a truly showcase of all talents London menswear yet, at the same time placing London as having that talent of its menswear as well as its womenswear collections at London Fashion Week.

It’s going to be a good start to 2014 Gentlemen!
