Victoria Beckham Autumn/Winter 2013-14

This morning Victoria Beckham’s s autumn/winter 2013 was the fashion crowd’s wakeup call for the fourth day of New York Fashion Week. Attendance of her husband David amongst, who rushed for a 6am flight this morning due to last night snow sat front row with Vogue Editor Anna Wintour whilst the fashion crowd was served with breakfast tea by the waiters within the New York Public Library.

Backstage Victoria’s models were sporting a natural make up looks and the classic show ponytail. Victoria’s fall collection was all about her exploring how she can evolve from her signature aesthic which was the main focus for her collection amongst, reflecting her British roots through her return to London with her family which was shown through the collections usage of tweeds, plaids, herringbone and a new addition of knitwear.



Throughout reflecting her British roots Victoria accomplished the application of a refine approach of a masculine modern twist which was featured in the collection through, the tuxedo jacket which had slit sleeves which achieved that cap like look. The coats were roomy whilst the collection added loose silhouettes with shift dressers however as the show went on the collection featured Victoria’s classic skin tight silhouette through numbers of a grey palette, notch necklines, and centre –slit skirts, and rounded short sleeves amongst the dressers.

Whilst adding a touch of colour amongst the classic dark colour palettes we’re used to seeing for fall. Victoria’s mainline added a touch of colour through the use of cobalt blue and canary yellow which was shown through ski jumpers and dressers which added drama into the sharp linear silhouettes.




Backstage after the show Victoria told Vogue: "I'm a perfectionist," she laughed, going into detail about the importance of the sleeves, the pleats and the colour this season - and of course her "fantastic" team.


Overall this collection spelled out a welcome home message amongst the usage of British classic materials however, it also showed how far Victoria and her team has stepped on and stepped up.
