The Queen's New Years Honours List

Happy New Year to you all readers!

Firstly the top headline around the industry today is her majesty’s New Years honours list for 2012. Throughout the month of December, the list has been adding some very important people onto it which can change someone’s career and life.
The most recent news starts of this morning with announcement that Lulu Kennedy who is the founder of London Fashion Week event Fashion East, has received an MBE for her services to the fashion industry in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List. Kennedy’s work has helped designer’s careers into today’s industry which includes Gareth Pugh, Roksanda Ilincic, Holly Fulton, Henry Holland and Marios Schwab.

 Adding to the New Years Honour list is Vogue cover girl Helana Bonham Carter, has been commanded of the order of the British Empire for services to drama. This commandment has been made after the actresses recent played The Queen Mother alongside with  Colin Firth who played her father who died in 2004.

"I am thrilled though not sure that I deserve it," she told the Press Association. "I am delighted to accept such a wonderful honour in his memory."
